The African American Arts Alliance’s grant-writing workshop has been “redesigned for our New Normal”.  The resource development workshops will enhance your understanding of the grant-writing process and give you the tools necessary to improve your success rate with winning proposals.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone from novices to experienced development directors, executive directors, and board members - the fundraising landscape is changing, and you can prepare yourself and your organizations for an evolving climate.

Resource development workshops will focus on fundraising best practices, grant writing tools, and support for a successful development office.  Marketing workshops will focus on the necessary tools and resources to attract corporate sponsorships and utilize social media to increase engagements.


Instructors

Ann Joseph Douglas

For the last 20 years, Joseph-Douglas has worked as a professional artist, educator, and arts administrator in Chicago. Before moving to the Twin Cities in May 2020, she served as Director of Theatre for the National High School Institute at Northwestern University. She is a founding ensemble member of Congo Square Theatre Company where she served as the Director of Education, Director of Development, and Executive Director. Ann is currently the Director of Education at the Children’s Theatre in Minneapolis.
